Hi, I’m Shaun
I’m a clinician (PA-C) and professor (PhD) with more than a decade in academics and over fifteen years in clinical practice. My doctoral work explored why PA educators leave the profession and what those decisions reveal about the pressures facing the health professions educator workforce.
For years I built work that ran predictably, and for a long time that felt like progress. Then a health event slowed me down enough to see what it had been costing me. The work still looked successful. It just no longer fit the person doing it.
That experience shapes the advisory work I do now. I help educators make sense of the decision in front of them, find the language for the conversation it requires, and move on it without solving the whole career first.
